Etymology: among botanists, who took this word, “Florilegium” is the title of some books that deal with plants remarkable by the beauty of their flowers.
Our mission is to make the plant world accessible to all!
Florilège is an urban garden center, unearthing new products and trends to meet the needs and expectations of urban consumers. We want to bring the beauty of plants to the heart of Montreal.
Over the years, plant and gardening enthusiasts have become more and more curious about the world of plants:
We had the idea to create Florilège in September 2018.
Passionate about plants in all forms, we select for you products in the air of time, as often as possible of Quebec and Canadian manufacture and or production. We accompany your creativity during workshops and we help you enjoy a flowery environment by offering you our personalized services. Your project is unique, we are here to help you realize it.
Our values :
Florilège was born from the meeting of two people who are both passionate about horticulture and floristry. It is a dream come true for the two co-owners to open a store together.
Marion has been passionate about plants since she was a child.
Born in a region of France close to the ocean, the mountains, the countryside and the forest, she was raised in contact with nature. It was her parents who passed on to her the passion for gardening.
After training in international trade and a few years working in the sports industry, her other passion, Marion went back to school to do a DEP in horticulture and a DEP in floristry. This is where she finally found her place professionally, working in the plant world.
At Marion’s home, you will find tropical plants, a jade plant and especially orchids, her favorite plant which is for her synonymous with perfection.
Outside, she likes to grow edible plants, for the pleasure of eating what she has grown and to entertain her children. Planters of annuals and perennials allow her to have a longer blooming garden.
Marion is passionate about sports, especially water sports and artistic gymnastics. She is also the mother of two little treasures Enéa and Oihan.
Horticulture has been an obvious career choice for Rosana.
She is happy to be part of those who don’t feel like working because she is so passionate about her job.
Rosana studied in France, she has a BEP and BAC Pro Horticole, a BTS Technologie végétale et améliorations des semences and a licence professionnelle Management des entreprises horticole et du paysage.
There are many plants at Rosana’s! Tropical plants, succulents, cacti and orchids.
In her garden, she maintains two beautiful flowerbeds with ginkgo biloba, peonies, perennial cacti and wisteria. Her balcony is dedicated to annuals and vegetable garden. Finally, each year she decorates her front door with beautiful natural branches for the holiday season.
Imagination and creativity are at the heart of Rosana’s hobbies, whether it’s making decorations, sewing or baking (and eating!) cakes. Whenever she can, she visits botanical gardens and greenhouses to seek inspiration. She is also the mother of little Matisse.
